OUR HISTORY

A NOTE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

                       Dear Brothers and sister, Alsalam alikom                                       wa rahmatoallah;
                      Masjid Al-Eiman was opened 2002, with the                                  purpose of serving the Muslim families in Buffalo’s                        inner communities. However, over the years our                        Masjid became the main Islamic center, and support system for all incoming refugees from all over the world, first from Somalia, then Eastern Europe, followed by Refugees from Iraq, Bangladesh, Burma, and finally from Syria.  Being located in the heart of the designated “Refugee Resettlement Neighborhood”, gave us the pleasure and the responsibility to help our new Moslim families get adjusted to life in a far and different country from the one they came from, by assisting them assimilate and integrate into the overall community, we typically work to find housing, Jobs, cars, as well as  assist each individual family on obtaining social services, and health insurance coverage, plus what ever else they may need, we also have monthly Dinners at the Masjid to help everyone get to know one another.
